Members of NewJeans arrived at the Seoul Central District Court on Thursday afternoon for a critical mediation hearing in their ongoing contract dispute with their agency, ADOR.
At the court’s request, members Minji and Danielle attended the session in person. When approached by reporters and asked about the possibility of reaching an agreement, both members declined to comment, offering only a quick “Sorry” before entering the courthouse.
The dispute centers on the validity of the group’s exclusive contract. ADOR’s lawsuit argues that the contract remains legally binding. However, NewJeans contends that the relationship of trust has been broken following the departure of former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin and the creative team that launched and supported the group.
The mediation, which lasted for about 1 hour and 20 minutes, has concluded, and the court announced that another mediation session will take place on September 11th. If no agreement is reached, the proceedings will move forward to the judgment date, as the argument phase has concluded. The court has scheduled the judgment date for October 30th.
If they fail to come to an agreement, the legal battle will continue. The court has tentatively scheduled a date for a final verdict on October 30 in case the mediation is unsuccessful.
On the same day, Japanese model Harin (real name Harada Rin) personally released a statement regarding the recent surge of attention she has been receiving.

Harin began a post on her YouTube community tab by saying, “These days, I am grateful for the sudden attention, but I am also a little worried.” She emphasized, “What I discussed in the interview was simply about my very personal feelings of frustration and disappointment from the past. It was not my intention to criticize or expose any specific company or individual.”
She added, “While it was certainly a difficult time for me, it was also an opportunity that made me stronger, and for that, I am grateful. Even now, I am still cheering for the members with whom I laughed and cried back then.”
