Lovelyz member Mijoo is not dating baseball player Lee Jin Young, according to her agency, Antenna.
Antenna released an official statement today, shutting down the dating rumors. “The dating rumors involving her and Lee Jin Young are completely untrue,” the agency told Korean media outlet DongA.com after checking with the artist. “We were told they have never even met.”
The clarification came after TenAsia reported that the two were a couple. The report noted that Mijoo’s family is long-time fans of the Hanwha Eagles, the team Lee Jin Young plays for. It also mentioned that Mijoo has shown her support for the team on multiple occasions, including throwing ceremonial first pitches and performing with the cheerleaders.
However, her agency firmly stated that after speaking with Mijoo directly, the rumors are entirely false.
The news comes several months after Mijoo’s public breakup with soccer player Song Beom Keun. She confirmed her relationship with Song in April 2024, but the two broke up this past January. Mijoo recently confirmed on her personal YouTube channel that she is currently single.
