MC Mong has announced he is stepping down from his role at One Hundred Label to focus on his health and personal development. He shared the news with fans in a detailed social media post on Thursday.

“I felt it was important to let my fans know first,” MC Mong wrote, revealing a recent struggle with severe depression and declining health following a surgical procedure. “It reached a point where it was difficult for me to even make music.”

He confirmed that he is entrusting all his producer duties at the company to Chairman Cha Ga Won and plans to go abroad to study. “I have decided to study abroad for my health and personal development,” he stated.

Despite the hiatus from his producer role, MC Mong assured fans that new music is on the way, announcing his intention to prepare and release a new album this year.

This announcement follows recent reports that MC Mong had been excluded from operations at One Hundred Label. The company, founded independently by Chairman Cha Ga Won, brought MC Mong on as its chief producer.
