Netflix has officially released the main trailer and 15 new stills for Squid Game Season 3, building even more anticipation for the return of the hit series.

The final season tracks Gi Hun, who rejoined the deadly competition with his own agenda only to lose his best friend in the process, the Front Man, who’s been playing a dangerous double game while hiding his true identity, and the brutal final destinies awaiting the survivors of these twisted games.

The main trailer opens with the signature haunting lullaby. The new games bring the innocent, fairy tale elements into arenas of terror, creating an impressive opening that leaves viewers wondering how this will unfold.

Gi Hun (Lee Jung Jae) explodes with rage as he demands, “Why didn’t you kill me? Why did you keep me alive?” His anguish perfectly captures the devastating guilt of surviving alone after losing his friend Jung Bae (Lee Seo Hwan) following the failed rebellion.

Meanwhile, the Front Man (Lee Byung Hun), who returned from participant Young Il to game overseer, watches Gi Hun with an intensity that raises questions about how he’ll change the game’s dynamics. New locations, including a sparkling starlit alley and jump rope games, tease the creative imagination that will shock both participants and viewers.

The brutal games continue in extreme circumstances, with participants locked in fierce survival battles that promise unpredictable developments. The trailer shows desperate moments, including Geum Ja (Kang Ae Sim) tearfully begging for the games to stop and Myeong Gi (Yim Si Wan) confronting Jun Hee (Jo Yu Ri) with “What are you going to do, then? Just sit here and die?”

The climactic moment features Gi Hun once again wearing a suit with the number 456, while the Front Man finally removes his mask to reveal his identity, asking, “Player 456, do you still have faith in people?” This confrontation between the two polar opposites of Squid Game builds anticipation for their ultimate showdown.

The globally beloved series Squid Game will unleash its final deadly competition exclusively on Netflix on Friday, June 27th.
