tvN is cooking up a unique historical fantasy romance with Bon Appétit, Your Majesty, starring YoonA and Lee Chae Min.
Based on a popular web novel, the upcoming tvN series follows a modern-day French chef who accidentally time-slips 500 years into the past, where she encounters a fearsome yet flavor-obsessed tyrant king.
Veteran director Jang Tae Yoo, known for hits like My Love from the Star, Lovers of the Red Sky, and Knight Flower, is at the helm. YoonA will play Yeon Ji Young, a fiery, confident chef from the 21st century, while Lee Chae Min takes on the role of Yi Heon, the cold and calculating ruler of Joseon known for his terrifying temper—and extraordinary palate.
Recently released teaser stills show the striking contrast between timelines: Ji Young in a pristine white chef’s uniform, calmly working in front of roaring flames, and Yi Heon on his throne, royal robes loosened, exuding silent menace with an icy glare.
Bon Appétit, Your Majesty promises to satisfy all five senses with its rich storytelling—from the dizzying romance between a bold chef and a fearsome tyrant, to a feast of mouthwatering fusion royal cuisine, and the chef’s desperate fight to survive the intrigue of palace life.
Meanwhile, Bon Appétit, Your Majesty will premiere in the second half of 2025 on tvN.
