
Netflix has officially greenlit the production of Husbands (literal translation), the upcoming action-comedy film directed by Park Gyu Tae, best known for hit movie 6/45.
The film follows an unexpected rescue mission as a woman’s ex-husband and current husband join forces to save her after she’s kidnapped by a criminal syndicate.
Leading the cast are Jin Seon Kyu and Gong Myung, who reunite after starring together in the box-office smash Extreme Job.

Jin Seon Kyu plays Choong Sik, a narcotics detective who lives for his job and practically lives at the police station. Just as he finally captures the elusive head of a new drug ring he’s been chasing for years, he receives shocking news that his ex-wife has been abducted.
Gong Myung takes on the role of Min Seok, a gentle-natured veterinarian who is now married to Choong Sik’s ex-wife. Determined to bring her home safely, Min Seok joins forces with Choong Sik in a high-stakes mission full of twists and danger.
Kim Ji Suk plays Do Jun, the ruthless and tech-savvy leader of the new drug empire.
Yoon Kyung Ho, who gained attention for his role in the Netflix series Trauma Center, plays Yong Kang, a rival boss desperately trying to reclaim his territory from Do Jun.
Kang Hanna stars as Si Nae, the kidnapped wife who confronts her captors with grit and defiance.
Lee Da Hee joins the cast as Hye Ran, Do Jun’s wife and a key figure in the drug operation.
Husbands is produced by TPS Company, the team behind 6/45, Hard Hit, Seobok, and Fabricated City, and will be released exclusively on Netflix.
