The 61st Baeksang Arts Awards crowned variety show Culinary Class Wars and acclaimed cinematographer Hong Kyung Pyo of the film Harbin as its Grand Prize winners.
The prestigious ceremony took place Sunday afternoon at COEX Hall in Seoul, with returning trio Shin Dong Yup, Suzy, and Park Bo Gum serving as hosts for another year.
The night’s most coveted hardware—the Grand Prize honors—landed in the hands of visionary cinematographer Hong Kyung Pyo for his stunning work on period drama Harbin while Netflix juggernaut Culinary Class Wars claimed television’s top prize, cementing its status as Korea’s must-see culinary showdown of the year.
The Best Actor and Actress categories featured a star-studded lineup of winners. In the TV division, Kim Tae Ri for Jeongnyeon: The Star is Born and Ju Ji Hoon for The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call claimed top acting honors, while veteran actress Jeon Do Yeon for Revolver and Jo Jung Suk for Pilot won in the film categories.
In the variety performance category, Shin Dong Yup and Lee Su Ji took home trophies, while the Popularity Award went to Byeon Woo Seok and Kim Hye Yoon from the rom-com Lovely Runner.
The Baeksang Arts Awards stands as Korea’s only comprehensive arts ceremony encompassing television, film, and theater.
