Lee Je Hoon, popular for his many roles and currently starring in The Art of Negotiation, recently discussed Trump’s tariffs and the political crisis caused by his policies.
In an interview with TEN on April 14th, Lee Je Hoon discussed his character in the popular office drama series. Lee Je Hoon plays Yoon Joo No, a legendary negotiator and M&A expert at a large corporation, where he takes charge in directing them out of a financial crisis. Following the theme, the interviewers discussed business, economics, and Lee Je Hoon’s personal thoughts and insights on the matter.
When asked about investments and if Lee Je Hoon himself invests in large stock markets, he confirmed he does and replied, “Humans are willing to recover, and I think they will eventually overcome this crisis and rise,” hinting at the political issues causing global inflation. To fans’ surprise, Lee Je Hoon seemed quite knowledgeable and involved in economics despite the recent tariff blow from the U.S. caused by American President Donald Trump. “It’s a confusing situation from this point of view, but I think it’s an opportunity.” He then revealed he has been steadily investing in foreign stocks.

Lee Je Hoon finished the interview, stating, “I think there is no end to greed and desire,” further adding, “I want assets to rise, but I act to do so and take risks with my actions. I think it’s life for such ups and downs to coexist and happen side by side.”
Like many actors in Korea, Lee Je Hoon manages his own business and assets. He further revealed, “Since I’ve been running a company since 2021, there have been many times when I’ve been emotionally agitated and expressed my troubles. I tried to hide it as much as possible, but I’m human, so it doesn’t always work out that way.”
In other news, The Art Of Negotiation had a slow start with only a 3.3% viewer rating. However, over time, the show picked up traction and ended with a great performance and record high of 10.3% viewer ratings for the finale.
