Rising Japanese girl group f5ve has come under fire after posting a photoshopped image of the late Goo Hara.
On April 8, their official Instagram account shared the photo with the caption “IDGAF” alongside an image of a coffin.
Many online criticized the post as disrespectful to Goo Hara’s memory, accusing f5ve of exploiting her image for attention. The group deleted the post amid the uproar and issued an apology, stating, “We’re grateful to those who highlighted the offensive image.”
They explained, “Our account often shares fan-made memes, and we didn’t initially realize this one included Goo Hara.” They added, “We deeply regret this mistake and appreciate everyone who helped us understand the issue.”

f5ve, a Japanese project girl group that debuted in March 2023, is currently active in Japan and across Asia.
