Sunwoo from The Boyz is under fire after his recent actions raised concerns about his attitude.
On April 13th, One Hundred Label issued a statement expressing regret for not handling the situation better, saying, “We’re truly sorry for failing to address concerns about our artist’s behavior properly. Sunwoo has been reflecting deeply after open discussions.” They added, “It’s unfortunate that things are spiraling in a way that doesn’t reflect his genuine remorse.”
The issue started when a video surfaced showing Sunwoo dropping his AirPods and exclaiming, “My AirPods!” Instead of picking them up himself, he waited for a bodyguard to retrieve them. Some netizens called his expression “entitled” and “disrespectful” when handed the earphones, sparking criticism about his character.
The controversy escalated when singer Nana commented publicly, “He needs to be scolded.” This triggered backlash from some fans, who flooded her social media with criticism. Nana doubled down, responding, “You can learn a lot about someone from one small action.”
One Hundred Label expressed regret, stating, “We should have managed this more proactively. Sunwoo’s thoughtless moment is entirely our responsibility, and he’s reflecting on things he didn’t initially realize.” The agency also took a firm stance against malicious comments and rumors, saying, “We’re preparing strong legal action to protect our artist.”
As The Boyz continue their global promotions, all eyes are on how this situation will unfold and the growing divide among fans.
