The man identified as A, the former husband of the late actress Kim Sae Ron, sat down for a second interview with the controversial YouTube channel Hoverlab (aka Garosero Research Institute) on the evening of March 26th, opening up about their brief yet intense marriage, denying all allegations of physical assault or knife-related violence.
In the interview, Hoverlab shared a copy of a “marriage agreement” allegedly written between Kim and her then-husband. The handwritten writing included a series of ground rules: no talking about past exes, no lying, phone transparency upon request, avoiding harsh language, no giving up easily, and no going MIA after drinking at night.
They also revealed letters exchanged between the two in February of this year. In her letter, Kim Sae Ron wrote, “Our time together was short but intense. I struggled to accept my emotions, but I still loved them all the same,” adding, “I wanted to be your forever, but in the end, I only hurt you. It wasn’t your fault—it was mine.”
When asked about the photos Kim allegedly sent to another ex-boyfriend, B, showing self-inflicted injuries, A claimed that Kim had a history of self-harm. “She once told me her depression was like a sneeze—it came without warning, never knowing why.”
Talking about ex-boyfriends, Hoverlab asked about Kim Soo Hyun. A responded, “I was never told much as her husband, but she once told me she had a boyfriend she dated for six years. It’s hard to judge anything since we were only together for a short time.”
He also commented on the abusive texts recently made public, allegedly revealed by B, whom he claimed was an aspiring idol trainee. According to A, B called Kim Sae Ron by pet names even after their breakup and requested she use her connection to get him signed by an entertainment agency. This, A said, triggered him to send the now-public profanity-laced response to B.
A concluded with a quiet plea: “I’m just a regular person—I’ve never experienced this kind of public storm before. A few weeks of this has been unbearable, but for A Im (Kim Sae Ron’s new name) and her family, they’ve lived with it for years. I just hope their pain lessens even a little.”
