The late Kim Sae Ron’s ex-boyfriend has now come forward.
The Fact exclusively published an interview with K, the former boyfriend of the late Kim Sae Ron, on March 25th.
In this interview, K claimed that Kim Sae Ron’s death was not tied to actor Kim Soo Hyun but to the “New York guy” she had married earlier this year in the United States.
According to K, Kim Sae Ron went through a difficult time and reached out to K for help after the marriage. However, her husband found out and began monitoring her, even taking away her phone and verbally abusing her. K further alleged that Kim Sae Ron experienced severe psychological turmoil during this period, leading her to attempt self-harm multiple times.
K further alleged that Kim Sae Ron struggled with her family’s indifference and felt despair about her situation. In 2024, when Kim Sae Ron required emergency surgery, her family reportedly did not show up despite being contacted, leaving K to stay by her side in the hospital.
K reportedly prepared a written affidavit to ensure the credibility of his statements.
