The damages sought by Gold Medalist, the entertainment agency founded by Kim Soo Hyun, from the late Kim Sae Ron have been confirmed to be related to Netflix series Bloodhounds rather than costs from her DUI accident.

According to a document written on November 22nd, 2022, the late Kim Sae Ron was responsible for a total of 668.64 million KRW (approximately 461,000 USD) due to her DUI incident. This amount included reshoot costs that arose when her scenes were minimized in Bloodhounds due to her scandal. The drama underwent reshoots and was eventually released in June 2023.

The document shows that the late Kim Sae Ron paid approximately 300 million KRW in penalty fees for a Keds advertisement, and her aunt revealed that the actress also personally compensated for losses caused by a transformer accident. One YouTuber expressed surprise that all responsibility was placed on the late Kim Sae Ron, noting that typically, agencies would shoulder some of the burden in such situations.

Gold Medalist demanded repayment by December 31st, 2023, requiring settlement within 1 year and 1 month, which is shorter than the typical loan repayment period of about 3 years. It was also reported that they were authorized to sell Kim Sae Ron’s Range Rover Defender vehicle.
