Netflix has confirmed the production of its new series Wish Your Death (working title) and unveiled its casting lineup.
Wish Your Death follows high school students who receive sudden death prophecies through the curse of a wish-granting application and their desperate struggle to escape these deadly predictions. Park Yoon Seo, director of Moving, will helm the production.
The casting is as fresh as its genre, topic, and plotline. Newcomer Jeon So Young will play Se A, a promising track team member at Seorin High School who fearlessly jumps into action when her friends are in danger, determined to uncover the secrets hidden behind this mysterious application.
Kang Mi Na, who made a strong impression in projects like Hotel Del Luna, will portray Na Ri, a character with celebrity-like looks loved by all her friends but refuses to believe Se A’s claims that the application is a medium for curses.

Baek Sun Ho, who appeared in the drama Dongjae, the Good or the Bastard, will play Geon Woo, Se A’s secret boyfriend who finds his girlfriend’s obsession with the strange application bewildering.
Hyun Woo Seok, who appeared in the drama Cheer Up, takes on the role of Ha Jun, a coding enthusiast who approaches the secrets of the application from a systematic perspective.
Lee Hyo Je, who starred in the drama Lost, will play Hyung Wook, a playful prankster who enjoys hanging out with friends and ends up getting his wish granted through the application by chance.
Meanwhile, Wish Your Death will be released exclusively on Netflix.
