Lee Jun Hyuk graces the cover of ELLE Man Korea, bringing his signature intensity to a stunning pictorial featuring LOEWE’s luxury pieces.
When asked about his recent surge in popularity during the accompanying interview, Lee Jun Hyuk maintained his humility. “I’m in the middle of shooting my next project, so everything’s quite hectic. But I do notice I’m getting more offers,” he shared. “The staff and people around me are more excited about it, but I always tell myself ‘let’s not get too excited’ (laughs).”
The actor has recently demonstrated his versatility across genres with The Roundup: No Way Out, Dongjae, the Good or the Bastard, and Love Scout. Reflecting on his role as a father in the latter, Lee explained, “I don’t think this drama was meant to show the reality of parenting. Some works point out what needs to change by showing reality, while others present a blueprint. Even if it feels like fantasy, sometimes we need something that gives us strength and shows us an ‘ideal’ to strive for. I aimed for the latter approach.”

When questioned about what has driven him through nearly two decades in acting, Lee offered a thoughtful perspective. “I think I’ve actually kept a strict separation between myself and my characters. While I’m actually quite afraid of being in the spotlight, I believe that ‘Lee Jun Hyuk’ as an entity can be rediscovered or recreated, whether in a project or like today’s photoshoot holding flowers,” he revealed. “As a film enthusiast, I enjoy interpreting the meaning within frames, and in that sense, it becomes interesting when I objectively interpret Lee Jun Hyuk within a certain frame. The process of creating and conveying something abstract that didn’t exist before through our collective goal is fascinating. Perhaps that has been my driving force.”
Meanwhile, Lee is currently filming the Netflix series The Art of Sarah (working title). The story follows Sarah Kim (Shin Hye Sun), a woman who yearns to be authentic despite being a counterfeit, and Moo Kyung (Lee Jun Hyuk), a man who becomes entangled in tracking her ambitions.
