The Korean entertainment industry has been struck with an outpouring of grief as stars take to social media to mourn the passing of Kim Sae Ron at age 25.
Kim Ok Vin posted a chrysanthemum flower photo on her Instagram today with the message “May she rest in peace.” While not directly mentioning Kim Sae Ron, the timing of the post indicated it was in remembrance of the young actress. Former agencymate Seo Ye Ji also paid her respects by posting a single chrysanthemum photo without any caption on her account.
Former FIESTAR member Yel shared an image of dandelion seeds, writing, “I’m so sad. I only met her a few times but remember her as a loyal and kind friend,” adding, “Tonight will be a long night.” Former Hello Venus member Yoo Ara shared photos of Kim Sae Ron with the message, “I’m sorry I only nagged you instead of giving warm words. I’m sorry, thank you, and I’ll remember and pray for you who shone so brightly.”

Singer Migyo addressed the issue of cyberbullying in her tribute, stating on social media, “Trolls only stop when someone dies,” adding “These people probably don’t even realize they’re posting malicious comments.”
The funeral has been set up at the Seoul Asan Hospital in Pungnam-dong, Songpa District, Seoul. Han So Hee was among the first to visit the memorial site, arriving with a solemn expression.
Floral tributes from Won Bin and Lee Na Young couple, Gong Myung, Kim Bo Ra, and the band FT Island have been placed at the memorial. Won Bin, who co-starred with Kim in the breakthrough film The Man from Nowhere, sent a funeral wreath with the message “May she rest in peace.”
