The 2NE1 fan union has issued a formal statement demanding Park Bom’s removal from upcoming 2NE1 activities following a series of controversial social media posts about Lee Min Ho.
In their statement released on the 16th, the fan union declared, “We officially demand Park Bom’s exclusion from 2NE1 activities due to her continuous social media controversies, repeated unprofessional behavior during tours, and performances that show a lack of effort that can’t be justified by health reasons alone.”
The statement continued, “While one time might be a mistake, these repeated impulsive actions are disrespecting both 2NE1 members and fans who have waited over a decade. Her self-centered, unpredictable behavior negatively impacts the team’s reputation and can no longer be tolerated.”
The controversy escalated when Park posted “He is my husband” alongside photos of herself and Lee Min Ho on February 15th, marking her third such claim. Park had previously stirred speculation in September 2023 with a similar post calling Lee Min Ho “truly my husband.” Her agency had then clarified it as mere fan enthusiasm, stating, “She became a fan after watching SBS drama ‘The Heirs.’ There is no other meaning beyond fan appreciation.”
However, Park reignited the controversy on February 12th with another post claiming “Lee Min Ho is my husband.” Though she deleted this post amid growing criticism, she made similar claims again just three days later.
The fan union also apologized to Lee Min Ho and his fans: “We extend our sincere apologies to the actor and his fans who have been affected by Park Bom’s repeated, uncontrollable mentions of him on social media.”
Meanwhile, 2NE1 is scheduled to perform at the “2025 2NE1 Concert [WELCOME BACK] Encore in Seoul” at Seoul Olympic Park’s KSPO DOME on April 12th and 13th.
