HyunA and Yong Jun Hyung are set to officially become husband and wife today (October 11th). The couple will hold their luxurious wedding ceremony at Samcheonggak in Seoul.
Footage of the ceremony venue, released on a Chinese media outlet, shows the elegant and serene atmosphere of Samcheonggak, complemented by stunning floral arrangements. The iconic floral designs often seen at Shilla Hotel weddings feature a variety of flowers, including lilies of the valley, hydrangeas, and tulips, creating a bright and lush environment.
Samcheonggak’s Ilwoldang, where the couple’s ceremony took place, reportedly has a rental cost of around 15 million KRW (approximately $11,000 USD), with floral decorations alone estimated at an additional 15 million KRW. Some of the rare flowers, such as lilies of the valley, are known to cost millions for bouquets. Factoring in other costs such as catering and event production, the total cost is said to have easily reached 100 million KRW (approximately $75,000 USD).
HyunA and Yong Jun Hyung made headlines in January when they went public with their relationship, and just six months later, in July, they announced their engagement.
However, the road to the altar wasn’t without obstacles. Yong Jun Hyung faced scrutiny over his past association with convicted criminal Jung Joon Young, while HyunA dealt with speculation about a possible pregnancy after performing at a festival, where her stage presence was called into question. On top of that, their wedding photoshoot sparked a controversy involving the alleged abandonment of their pet dog. In response, HyunA announced her intent to take legal action against malicious rumors.
Despite these challenges, today marks the beginning of a new chapter for HyunA and Yong Jun Hyung as they celebrate their love surrounded by their closest friends and family.
