Meanwhile, Girls’ Generation debuted in 2007 with their single album Into the New World. They quickly established themselves as a leading K-pop girl group, producing numerous hits like “Gee,” “Tell Me Your Wish (Genie),” “Oh!,” and “PARTY.”
The members of Girls’ Generation are currently active in various fields, including acting and DJing. In 2022, they celebrated their 15th anniversary by releasing their album FOREVER 1, exciting fans again. Recently, as they marked their 17th anniversary, they sparked discussions about plans for a full-group comeback.
Sooyoung is set to release her first solo debut single, “Unstoppable,” in Japan on October 30, marking 22 years since her debut. The album will feature four tracks, including the title song “Unstoppable,” as well as “C.A.L.M,” “Who in This World Reflects,” and “Call Me.” Sooyoung contributed to writing the lyrics for three of the songs.
Kwon Yuri will appear in the upcoming tvN drama Parole Examiner Lee, which is scheduled to air in October. The series follows the collaboration between a parole officer who is a lawyer and an ace detective from the Special Investigations Unit. In the drama, she plays the role of Detective Ahn Seo Yoon, who excels at capturing criminals with her keen observation skills and strong sense of responsibility.
