K-pop girl group KARA is back with a new song featuring the voice of their beloved member Goo Hara, who passed away in 2019. This marks the first time in 6 years that all KARA members will be heard together on a song.
“Hello” drops on various music platforms at 6 PM KST on July 16th as part of their digital single I Do I Do.
The emotional ballad takes the Korean greeting “annyong” as its theme, reflecting on the bittersweet nature of both beginnings and endings as the word can mean both hello and goodbye.
Originally planned for KARA’s 2013 album Full Bloom, “Hello” was not included in the final release. However, the Japanese version of the song was included in Goo Hara’s Japanese single Midnight Queen released in November 2019.
Thanks to the efforts of RBW and DSP Media, the song has been completed as a complete 6-member version. They were able to include Goo Hara’s previously recorded Korean vocals, making this a truly special tribute to the beloved singer.
The full digital single I Do I Do arrives on July 24th.
