BTS’s Jin to Shine as a Torchbearer at the 2024 Paris Olympics

BTS’s Jin is set to carry the torch for peace at the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics. He will participate as a torchbearer in the Olympic relay, bringing excitement to fans worldwide.

Jin is scheduled to join the relay on the 27th (KST) in Paris. He plans to travel to France soon, though specific dates and locations remain undisclosed.

After completing his military service, Jin is diving back into his activities. In addition to his role in the Paris Olympics torch relay, he is confirmed to appear on MBC’s Half-Star Hotel in Lost Island, and he is also working on new music.

The Paris Olympics torch was ignited in Greece and arrived in France last month. It will travel through over 400 locations in France, covering a journey of approximately 12,000 km, before arriving at the opening ceremony on the 27th. Around 11,000 torchbearers will participate in the relay, including Jin, Didier Drogba (soccer), Tony Parker (basketball), a Holocaust survivor, a Nice attack victim’s family member, an astronaut, and a sanitation worker.

The 2024 Paris Summer Olympics will kick off on the 27th and conclude on August 11th. Athletes from 206 countries will compete in 329 events across 32 sports.

South Korea will send up to 142 athletes across 21 sports, aiming for gold in archery, fencing, badminton, and taekwondo. The South Korean team will hold its departure ceremony on the 9th. Notable athletes include Kim Je Deok (archery) and Hwang Sun Woo (swimming), both making their second Olympic appearances, as well as Seo Seung Jae (badminton), Park Tae Joon (taekwondo), Kim Han Sol (gymnastics), Lim Jong Hoon (table tennis), Kim Ha Yoon (judo), and Park Hye Jeong (weightlifting).
