IU‘s agency, EDAM Entertainment, announced on the 19th that the pre-release single originally titled Love Wins will now be released under Love Wins All. The decision to change the song’s title came after considering critical feedback about the original title.
The agency stated, “We’ve decided to change the title to ‘Love Wins All’ to ensure the song’s important message isn’t obscured. We aim to support and cheer for everyone leading diverse lives.”
IU had poured her gratitude, especially toward her fans (known as Uaena), into this song. The agency emphasized, “If there’s anything completely opposite to the message of this song, it would be ‘hate.’ We sincerely hope that in a world free of hate, all forms of love will prevail.”

IU initially announced the release of her new song “Love Wins” on the 16th. The title drew reactions, particularly from the LGBTQ+ community, who noted that the phrase used in the song’s title is commonly associated with LGBTQ+ slogans. As a matter of fact, “Love Wins” is a common phrase seen at queer festivals, symbolizing the triumph of love over hate, used as a show of support following incidents of LGBTQ+ discrimination.
