A tvN new drama titled Queen of Tears (literal title), starring Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won, has confirmed its March release date.
Queen of Tears tells the love story between a married couple, Hong Hae In (Kim Ji Won), the heiress of Queens Group’s department stores, and Baek Hyun Woo (Kim Soo Hyun), the son of the head of Yongduri village. The series is helmed by Bulgasal: Immortal Souls director Jang Young Woo and Vincenzo creator Kim Hee Won. Crash Landing on You writer Park Ji Eun penned the script.

Kim Soo Hyun plays Baek Hyun Woo, the legal director of Queens Group, who was born in Yongduri. His life takes an unexpected turn three years into his marriage with Hong Hae In, the woman of everyone’s dreams.
Kim Ji Won stars as the CEO of Queens Department Store. Born with a silver spoon, she lives a life of luxury and privilege. However, she encounters unforeseen challenges after marrying the son of a supermarket owner in Yongduri.
tvN has revealed that these two characters from entirely different worlds will come together, facing and conquering challenges along the way. They’re set to bring us a touching love story, covering everything from intense passion to tender emotions throughout the couple’s journey.
Park Sung Hoon takes on the role of Yoon Eun Sung, a former Wall Street analyst specializing in M&A. After an extended stay abroad, he returns to Korea and establishes connections with Queens Group. He is an enigmatic man with incredible investment prowess.
Kwak Dong Yeon plays Hong Soo Cheol, Hae In’s younger brother who heads the Queens Mart. He is enjoying a happy married life with Cheon Da Hye, an intelligent and humble woman, unlike his older sister.
Lee Joo Bin portrays Cheon Da Hye, the wife of Soo Cheol, who comes from an academic family background. She is adored by members of the Queens Group for her elegant appearance and refined manners.
Queen of Tears will premiere on March 16th.
