Lee Sun Kyun Laid to Rest Surrounded by Loved Ones

Lee Sun Kyun was laid to rest amidst the grief of family members and colleagues in the film industry on December 29th.

The funeral procession for Lee Sun Kyun took place at noon in the funeral hall of Seoul National University Hospital. The coffin was privately borne out according to the wishes of the bereaved family. It was reported that his wife, Jeon Hye Jin, and their two young children departed with the funeral cortege.

Colleagues who had collaborated with the late Lee Sun Kyun on various film projects paid their respects at the funeral and accompanied the family to the crematory. Agency representatives indicated that media coverage at the funeral site was refrained from, respecting the family’s request.

Lee Sun Kyun was found deceased on December 27th in a parked car at a park in Jongno-gu, Seoul. He was 48 years old.
