Jung Yoo Min has proudly spoken about her on-screen chemistry with Sung Hoon in the recently concluded MBN weekend mini-series Perfect Marriage Revenge. The series, which wrapped up on the 3rd, depicted the characters Seo Do Guk (Sung Hoon) and Han Yi Ju (Jung Yoo Min) finding true love and happiness, culminating in a perfect happy ending.
In an interview on the 4th, the actress expressed satisfaction with their collaboration. “Sung Hoon has done a lot of romantic roles, so he told me to trust and follow him. The result of that trust looked beautiful, and I thought, ‘as expected.'” She went on, “I quickly got used to working with him. He’s a pleasant man and genuinely kind.”
Jung Yoo Min also highlighted Sung Hoon’s positive energy on set. “He’s so energizing the set. When the staff was hot and tired, he would hand out candies and encourage everyone to keep their spirits up. I received a lot of candies too,” she revealed with a chuckle.
She further added, discussing their growing off-screen rapport. “We made efforts to get closer internally,” she recalled. “Both of us are quite shy, and he was somewhat reserved at first. But I could feel that he was trying to open up. As time went by, we became more comfortable, engaging in easy conversations, and our bond grew stronger.”
Jung Yoo Min also shared a memorable episode from filming. “We had a kiss scene by the second episode, shot during our second shoot. We shot it in a car at Yeouido Park after just a few readings. That scene was memorable because it was the first time Jin Jung initiated a kiss with Do Guk in the drama, and we were both immersed in our roles. Viewers were surprised to see a kiss scene so early on.”
Regarding the more intense scenes, she laughed, “We joked about needing to work out more to look sexier. By then, we were more comfortable shooting those scenes.”
