Kim Ji Hoon revealed why he decided to grow his hair out on Salon Drip 2.
Netflix’s movie Ballerina stars Jeon Jong Seo, Kim Ji Hoon and Park Yoo Rim guested on the October 10th episode of the popular Youtube show.
During the show, Kim Ji Hoon shared why he chose to maintain long hair for his acting roles. “There was a time I was struggling as an actor. I’d had a clean-cut, office worker image that limited the types of roles I could get. So, I decided to change my image portrayed in the media. However, it took longer than expected to get the opportunities I wanted,” he disclosed.
The actor also mentioned that he had taken a break from acting for over two years, during which he faced financial difficulties. He explained, “I had used up all my savings. My hair grew long because I didn’t even go to a hair salon. When I finally got the chance to play a character who had just woken up from a coma in Flower of Evil, my long hair made perfect sense for the role.”
When Jang Do Yeon commented, “That took a lot of courage. You made the right choice, didn’t you?” Kim Ji Hoon responded, “Being part of a wonderful project like Ballerina is an incredible honor for me. It’s a very stylish and trendy project.”
