Shin Ha Kyun, Kim Young Kwang, and Shin Jae Ha team up for the new crime noir drama EVILLIVE (literal title).
Genie TV upcoming original series EVILLIVE delves deep into the gripping narrative of a lawyer’s metamorphosis into an elite villain after an unexpected encounter with the personification of evil. With director Kim Jung Min at the helm, known for OCN’s Bad Guys and Netflix’s original series Bride of the Black, audiences can anticipate a captivating crime noir masterpiece.
On the 9th, the core cast of EVILLIVE was unveiled: Shin Ha Kyun, Kim Young Kwang, and Shin Jae Ha.
Taking on the pivotal role of Han Dong Soo is Shin Ha Kyun. Han Dong Soo is portrayed as a struggling lawyer who gets his clients from impromptu visits to the convicts. While seemingly logical and rational on the surface, an underlying, restless desire pushes him over the edge into the realm of malevolence.
Kim Young Kwang steps into the shoes of Seo Do Young, the organization’s second-in-command. Having been a professional baseball player, Seo Do Young diverges from the typical gangster archetype many might envision. He’s a handsome man, but lurking behind that polished exterior is an unpredictable and savage madness.
Adding depth to the narrative, Shin Jae Ha will portray Han Beom Jae, Han Dong Soo’s half-brother and a case broker. Working at a used computer store, Han Beom Jae introduces his brother to lucrative cases but soon confronts this new version of his brother due to the very cases he’s brought him. Fresh off the success of tvN’s Crash Course in Romance and SBS’s Taxi Driver 2, Shin Jae Ha is gearing up to showcase a stark contrast from the villainous roles he’s previously embraced.
The much-anticipated crime noir EVILLIVE, is set to make its debut in October 2023, available on Genie TV and ENA.
