Go Hyun Jung and Nana will be drawing the life of one mysterious woman.

Netflix’s new series Mask Girl unveiled its teaser poster and teaser trailer on the 20th. The show confirmed its global debut on the 18th of next month.

Mask Girl narrates the tumultuous life of Kim Mo Mi. Kim Mo Mi is an ordinary office worker with physical insecurities. Every night, she dons a mask and becomes an internet show host and eventually gets tangled up in an unintended incident.

The teaser poster featured a twisted mesh of color, lines, and paint above the mask, evoking a sense of abstract expressionism. It hinted at a rich narrative set to unfold with unconventional characters.

The teaser trailer captured the persona of Mask Girl, conducting a provocative live broadcast under vibrant lights. The incredible performances of Go Hyun Jung, Ahn Jae Hong, Yeom Hye Ran, and Nana captivated the viewers’ attention.

What piques curiosity, in particular, is that the enigmatic BJ Mask Girl and actresses Nana and Go Hyun Jung ung portray Kim Mo Mi. How have the three actresses, performing the same role in different periods, interpreted the tumultuous life of Kim Mo Mi – a life marked by three names, three murders, and three distinct life phases? The never-before-seen bold premise is sure to ramp up viewer anticipation.

Kim Yong Hoon directed and penned Mask Girl, and he previously won the Special Jury Award at the 49th Rotterdam International Film Festival with the movie Beasts Clawing at Straws. Director Kim said, “I love the intense story, characters, unpredictable development, and profound message of the original webtoon,” explaining his decision to helm the project.
