CNBLUE’s Kang Min Hyuk talked about a possible season 2 of Netflix’s Celebrity.
In the show, he plays a third-generation conglomerate named Jun Kyung who becomes intrigued by Seo Ari.
When asked what it was like working with Park Gyu Young, he said, “She is incredibly meticulous and detail-oriented, which made filming the show a great experience. Like her, I also strive to create a comfortable atmosphere for my co-stars. We would often get so engrossed in our conversations that we lost track of time. We practiced our scenes extensively, and I am truly grateful to her for guiding me in the right direction.”
Min Hyuk said he also felt comfortable working with Lee Chung Ah. He explained, “I enjoyed working with her, especially because both our characters didn’t have happy endings. Seeing the sadness in her eyes really helped me focus on my acting. Lee Chung Ah is an incredible actress who effortlessly conveys her character’s emotions. Personally, I tried to stay relaxed while portraying my character. We had an amazing time working together.”
Regarding his chemistry with Lee Dong Gun, Min Hyuk shared, “Initially, I had some concerns that viewers might find it difficult to relate to the scene where I clash with Dong Gun, considering I appear younger than my actual age. However, thanks to Dong Gun and the director’s guidance, we managed to maintain the tension effectively. Surprisingly, I hardly felt any age difference between us during that scene.”
The final episode of Celebrity features the special appearance of Junho, who previously worked with director Kim Chul Gyu for his film Confession. Min Hyuk commented, “My friends have been asking me if Junho’s appearance in the show hints at something special, but honestly, I have no clue. I suppose one possibility could be that it signals a new season on the horizon. However, what I do believe is that the theme of social media and celebrities will continue to resonate for a long time. If this kind of storyline garners significant attention, we can expect to see more shows exploring similar themes in the future.”
