>> Park Bo Gum Joins BIGBANG’s Taeyang for Epic Surprise Collab Performance
Park Bo Gum is in talks to make his debut on the musical stage.
On July 4th, Park Bo Gum’s agency The Black Label told Newsen, “He’s positively considering his appearance in the musical Let Me Fly.”
The original Korean musical Let Me Fly tells the story of the best neighborhood tailor Nam Won, who wakes up in 2020 as he tries to take a step toward his dream of becoming a fashion designer and his love for Jung Bun on the night Apollo 11 was launched to the moon in 1969.
Let Me Fly received a heated response from its first performance. It was nominated in six categories at the 7th Korea Musical Awards and has won three awards, including Best Production, Best Composition, and Best New Actor.
Park Bo Gum has shown his love for musicals over the years. A graduate of Myongji University’s Film and Musical Performance, Park Bo Gum displayed his passion by actively participating as a musical director for his graduation work, the musical Hairspray.
Meanwhile, Let Me Fly is set to run from September 26th to December 10th at the Yes24 Stage in Daehangno, Seoul.
Notably, Let Me Fly will be Park Bo Gum’s first work following his military discharge that meets the audience if he does join the project. In addition to this, he is also working in the new drama You Have Done Well alongside IU.
