Five villains from The Glory – Lim Ji Yeon, Park Sung Hoon, Kim Hieora, Cha Joo Young, and Kim Gun Woo – teamed up with W Korea.
Park Sung Hoon revealed that writer Kim Eun Sook gave him specific instructions for his character Jae Joon in the drama “The Glory.” She told him, “I want Jae Joon to be sexy, but not too cheesy.” Park Sung Hoon then explained how he put a lot of effort into his appearance for the role, trying on different outfits, going on a diet, and even considering different hairstyles. He ultimately decided to wear long hair to help bring out the badass nature of his character.
Kim Hieora said, “I believe that thinking about why a scene or a character is important is crucial for me when it comes to acting. For instance, I contemplate why a particular scene is necessary and why my character speaks certain lines. However, Lee Sa Ra is not an ordinary character. The production team once advised me, “Sa Ra is just a mean person. Do not try too hard to understand her and find the reason behind her actions.”
Cha Joo Young shared her experience preparing for her role, saying, “I was feeling frustrated as I couldn’t find any character reference for my role. It felt like my head was about to explode. After a lot of contemplation, I came to the conclusion that I should just focus on the script. So I read the script thoroughly.”
Kim Kun Woo expressed his gratitude towards Song Hye Kyo, as he revealed, “I had many scenes with Song Hye Kyo, but she never asked me to act in a certain way during the shoots. She would simply say, ‘Act however you want. Show us what you’ve prepared for your role.’ Even on the first day of shooting, she made me feel at ease while acting.”
