Park Shin Hye, Park Hyung Sik, Yoon Park and Gong Sung Ha will be starring in the new JTBC drama Doctor Slump.
The drama follows the love and growth of two protagonists who leave their jobs as doctors and end up living in rooftop rooms. The upcoming drama marks the reunion of The Heirs stars Park Hyung Sik and Park Shin Hye after ten years, and the collaboration between Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo director Oh Hyun Jong and What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim writer Baek Sun Woo.
Park Hyung Sik plays Yeo Jeong Woo, a famous plastic surgeon who experiences the worst slump of his life due to a medical accident. He expressed, “I haven’t done a romantic comedy for a long time, so I am both excited and nervous to film the show. I am also glad that I will be working with Park Shin Hye once again after a long time. I am looking forward to it.”
Park Shin Hye stars as Nam Ha Neul, an anesthesiologist who suffers from burnout syndrome. She shared, “I think everyone experiences a slump at some point in their lives, so I could easily relate to my character. I often contemplate how to overcome such a low point in my life, so I hope the drama provides comfort to those who feel weary. I will do my best to bring my character to life on screen”
Yoon Park takes on the role of a plastic surgeon named Bin Dae Young. Despite having a sense of rivalry against his successful college friend Yeo Jeong Woo, he is the one that understands him better than anyone.
Gong Sung Ha joins as an ob-gyn anesthesiologist named Lee Hong Ran who is also the best friend of Nam Ha Neul. She gets involved with Bin Dae Young for some reason.
