IU and Lee Jong Suk are drawing attention as they are openly showing off their relationship on camera.
The singer recently sat down for an interview with Harper’s Bazaar Korea magazine. She was asked, “Do you still believe in love in this impetuous society?” To which she answered, “I’m a little embarrassed to say this, but I strongly believe that love beats hatred. It does, eventually. Even when I am not in the best state of mind, I try to distract myself from thinking about it too much by working out and thinking that love will always win in the end. That was the lesson I have learned in my life.”
Lee Jong Suk also revealed that IU gave him the strength to get back up during his difficult moments in an interview with Esquire Korea magazine. He said, “We had been friends for a long time, and I think she is the funniest person I have ever met in my life.”
The two stars first met through an SBS music show as MCs in August of 2012. Ten years later, the actor indirectly admitted to his relationship with the singer in his acceptance speech at the 2022 MBC Drama Awards, and they started publicly dating in 2023.
