Lee Jon Suk gushed about his girlfriend IU during an interview for Esquire Korea magazine’s photoshoot.
The actor said, “It might sound obvious if I say she is a supportive person I can depend on. But besides me, many people are also comforted by her songs and heartwarming lyrics. I feel the same. What’s different is that I get that comfort through our conversations.”
He added, “We’ve been friends for a long time, and I think she is the funniest person in the world. She comforted me a lot when I was going through hard times in my 30s.”
The two first encountered each other as co-emcees at SBS’ Inkigayo in 2012. He shared, “As we’ve been friends since I was in my mid-20s, we met at a pretty young age. That’s why whenever she tells me that I got more mature than before, I want to grow up even more. Also, I hope to become a much better person in the future.”
