Han Hye Jin dished on her new drama Divorce Attorney Shin.
In this upcoming series, Han Hye Jin plays Lee Seo Jin, a former weather girl who now hosts a radio show. The actress described her character as “a pretty bird trapped in a cage” who seems to live a life everyone would envy but has a pain she can’t share with anyone.
“Nevertheless, the way she lives her life with courage seemed to give hope to those with scars,” she elaborated. “It was rewarding and comforting to see courage and maternal love blooming within her after she meets good people.”
Playing Lee Seo Jin, there was one thing Han Hye Jin could relate to. “Mothers are strong but are weak in front of their kids,” she shared. “Anyone with children will sympathize with her. I could relate to all the scenes with (Lee Seo Jin’s) son.”
Lastly, she talked about why she chose Divorce Attorney Shin for her comeback. “It was an exciting and immersive script that I finished (the script) at once. I understood the characters deeply and wanted to take on the challenge with courage.” She continued, “And there was no reason to hesitate after I heard the four actors – Cho Seung Woo, Kim Sung Kyun, Jung Moon Sung, and Kang Mal Geum – who were already cast.”
Meanwhile, JTBC’s new weekend drama Divorce Attorney Shin tells the story of artist-turned-divorce attorney Shin Sung and his three dynamic friends. The show will premiere on March 4th at 10:30 PM KST.
