Anticipations are growing about Cha Eun Woo‘s upcoming performance in TVING original series Island: Part 2.
In Part 1, the idol-turned-actor made an acting transformation into an exorcist named John, who has a heart-wrenching past. John was always seen as bright and cheerful person with Mi Ho (played by Lee Da Hee), but he turned into a charismatic exorcist when confronting Pan (Kim Nam Gil).
The first part ends with the exorcist finally finding his older brother from whom he was separated during childhood. However, he soon finds his brother possessed by a demon and realizes that he has to expel it from him. During the exorcism scene, Cha Eun Woo successfully portrayed the heavy internalized emotions and story of the character while breaking down in tears.
After watching the first part episodes, viewers rushed to praise the actor’s work as John in the drama. They wrote, “Oh my god, the exorcism scene seems so real,” “His character was different from the ones I had seen so far in other shows. I look forward to seeing him in the upcoming project,” “John and his brother’s bromance breaks my heart” and “I cried when John cried.”
Island: Part 2 will be released on TVING on February 24th.
