Kim Ji Hoon shared what it was like starring in Netflix’s new drama Love to Hate You at a press event attended by director Kim Jung Kwon, Kim Ok Bin and Teo Yoo.
The actor said, “I loved how the drama took a different approach to break all the cliches of rom-com. Unlike the usual heroines in stories like Candy Candy or Cinderella, Yeo Mi Ran is a strong and active girl who never lets her fears stop her. She’s a heroine feistier than any other. I feel like none of the existing K-dramas deal with women’s empowerment, although more people are becoming aware of it. But I think this series will have lots of viewers connecting to its story as it talks about supporting and empowering women.”
Love to Hate You is a romantic comedy following a female lawyer named Mi Ran (played by Kim Ok Bin) who desperately hates losing to men, and a top star named Kang Ho (Teo Yoo) who is extremely suspicious of women. Kim Ji Hoon plays Do Won Joon, the head of Kang Ho’s management company.
