The recent episode of tvN’s Free Doctor, aired on the 6th, covered Song Joong Ki and his marriage to Katy Louise Saunders.
“Song Joong Ki is quite the man,” one journalist shared. “He’s honest and doesn’t hide things. They’ve been dating for three years now. They didn’t go all public from the start, but since they got serious, they didn’t hide their relationship, even enjoying dates in front of the girlfriend’s house.”
Song Joong Ki admitted to being in a relationship after finishing Reborn Rich, and just last week, the actor announced his marriage to Saunders. With the announcement, he also announced that they’re expecting their first child.
The actor bought an old house for 10 billion won (about $8.1 million) in 2016 and finished reconstructing it in February last year. This house is now estimated to be priced at 20 billion won (about $16 million). The journalist saw this house as the place the newlywed would begin their marriage.
“He also bought a high-end E villa in Cheongdam-dong, which is due to be completed this December. IU also bought an apartment in this place,” he continued. “Each apartment is known to cost at least 13 billion won (about $10.4 million), and I heard that (Song Joong Ki) paid in cash. The rooms look down on the Han River from a beautiful garden, and there are only 29 apartments in the building.”
The journalist also added, “Song Joong Ki bought a high-rise condo near Waikiki Beach, Hawaii, for 2.7 billion won (about $2.2 million) in 2019. I think they’ll use it for their honeymoons or vacation spots after they welcome their baby.”
