Park So Dam and Lee Ha Nee shared their gratitude toward each other during an interview for Phantom‘s press premiere.
Lee Ha Nee stated, “I love her spirit on set. She’s an actor who is strong with whomever she is with, and I love that side of her. Although she is younger than I am, she’s an incredible actress who I look up to.”
Park So Dam shared, “Lee Ha Nee’s has such a soothing voice. Park Cha Kyung’s (played by Lee Ha Nee) line, “Live,” meant a lot to me. I met an amazing person when I was going through a hard time. I received a lot of energy from her during the whole shoot.” She then shed tears, saying, “The gratitude and emotions I felt all came back as we watched the film and shared our thoughts together. I want to repay the great energy that I received from her during the promotional activities. I’m so thankful for everything she’s done for me.”
After listening to Park So Dam’s remarks, Lee Ha Nee and director Lee Hae Young teared up. Director Lee said, “There were many difficult scenes to shoot. As we all know, Park So Dam wasn’t feeling well at the time. I regret to have asked her too much without knowing how she was back then.”
After the movie’s wrap, Park So Dam went on a break to have her surgery for papillary thyroid carcinoma. Seol Kyung Gu said, “She went through a lot after the film’s wrap. I’m very proud of her.”
