TVING released a main poster and trailer for its original series Island starring Kim Nam Gil, Lee Da Hee and Cha Eun Woo.
Based on the popular webtoon of the same name, the upcoming fantasy drama depicts the journey of those who are fated to fight against evil to protect the world.
The trailer begins with Pan (played by Kim Nam Gil) suddenly appearing from nowhere as he snatches an unidentified weapon flying toward him. Meanwhile, exorcist John (Cha Eun Woo) arrives on Jeju Island upon God’s calling to find the savior in the prophecy who will stop the world from ending at the hands of demons. Won Mi Ho (Lee Da Hee) also arrives at Jeju airport, senses something off and gets chased by evil spirits.
The scene then changes to Pan jumping into the scene to protect Mi Ho and John looking determined to save her as if he is fated to do so. Mi Ho then wonders why those spirits are after her.
Gray-haired Gung Tan (Sung Joon) greets him solemnly and says, “It’s been a while, my brother,” as if he had been waiting for this very day. However, Pan attacks him without hesitation.
The trailer raises expectations about what will happen between the four main characters in the upcoming series.
The first episode of Island will be released on TVING and Amazon Prime Video on December 30th.
