The eldest member of TOMORROW X TOGETHER radiated his top star vibe in the upcoming issue of GQ Korea.
In the interview that followed, Yeonjun dished on how he’s been doing lately. “I used to worry about things that haven’t even happened because I ten to have lots of worries. But I’ve gotten better lately,” he shared. Elaborating on this change he’s making in his life, he commented, “I didn’t want to gnaw myself away. It’s one of the things that I’m trying to improve, and I think it’s working.”
When asked what song he’d sing if he could go to karaoke, Yeonjun chose “LO$ER=LO♡ER.” He explained, “It’s not an exciting song, but it always pumps me up whenever I sing this song at the concerts. So I’ll sing that. And it’s a rock song, so it’s perfect whenever I want to scream.”
Talking to Yeonjun, the GQ editor mentioned his “humble confidence.” The singer responded, “Saying ‘I’m beat’ and ‘I’m beat, but I’m fine are very different when faced with difficult situations. Lately, I’ve been trying to get into the habit of expressing how I feel with positive words. And that certainly has a positive effect on me.”
Being the eldest of a beagle-like team, where does Yeonjun gain strength? He answered, “I don’t tend to rely on others easily. But what I’m so grateful for is that the members always just ask me to tell them straight (how I’m feeling). So I try to rely on them a lot.”
“If I’m being honest, I used to call my mom to cry in the past, but now I try to relieve the emotions myself. Nothing’s wrong with crying, but I need to learn how to get back on my feet on my own,” he added. “Still, I gain strength from the people I love – family and fans. Performing on stages also helps me.”
