Chae Jong Hyeop, Seo Eun Soo, and Park Sung Woong are coming together for a “hybrid collaboration.”
Based on a popular webtoon of the same name, Unlock the Boss tells the story of a CEO who gets trapped in a smartphone and a young man whose life is turned upside down after coming upon the smartphone. The show comes from Okay Madam helmer Lee Chul Ha and Sweet Home co-writer Kim Hyung Min.
Chae Jong Hyeop plays Park In Sung, a job-hunting young man whose life is turned upside down after picking up a phone with a CEO trapped inside. Park In Sung, who only knows how to “act,” has nothing to show for himself. Following the orders of the CEO locked inside the phone, he “infiltrates” the CEO’s office to uncover the truth. The actor shared, “I have pressure about portraying the dynamic life of Park In Sung, who becomes a boss overnight, but I am grateful and honored to be working with good actors.”
Seo Eun Soo steps into the role of Jung Se Yeon, an AI-like secretary. She is a charming character who can be the biggest ally or the “worst enemy” of Park In Sung. The actress commented, “I was drawn to the material of a soul entering a smartphone. I’m doing my best and having fun to make this a good project, so please show your interest.”
Lastly, Park Sung Woong plays Kim Sun Joo, the CEO of the IT company Silver Lining who gets trapped inside a smartphone after getting caught up in a suspicious incident. Being a world-class developer who turns imagination into reality, Kim Sun Joo has everything except a humble character. After being chased by someone, he wakes up inside a smartphone, but he needs to uncover the truth to return to his daughter. The actor said, “It’s a work with a comical, mysterious, and complex charm.”
Meanwhile, Unlock the Boss will premiere on November 30th at 9 PM KST.
