BLACKPINK announced their title track “Shut Down” to their second full-length album and shared its release date via social media.

On September 7th, YG Entertainment announced the second single off the group’s anticipated second album. Expectations are growing as BLACKPINK released a group poster, teasing fans with closed silver shutters just like the name of their new track.

The group’s new album, Born Pink, will drop on September 16th at 1PM KST (local time).

Previously on September 6th, their pre-release track “Pink Venom” topped both the Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S charts on Billboard.

Billboard shared that BLACKPINK is the first female K-pop group that has topped both charts for two straight weeks. “Pink Venom” surpassed 108.4 million streams and 7,000 downloads, scoring the highest record on the chart for the week. Moreover, the MV for the song attracted 9 million views on Youtube in just 24 hours of its release, setting a new record as the fastest K-pop female group to achieve this milestone.

Meanwhile, the group will kick off their world tour in Seoul with a two-day concert on October 15th and 16th and will meet fans from around the world.
