HYBE continues to see a fall in its stock price.

As of 4 PM KST, HYBE’s stock price fell to 16,500 KRW (about $11.89), which is 4.18% down from the previous day. This is believed to be the result of the recent poll regarding BTS’ military service.

Jowon C&I, a company specializing in surveys, conducted a survey on the case of BTS’ military exemption for 1,001 voters from Korea at the request of Straight News. And the result showed that more than half of the people believed that BTS should enlist in the military and complete their mandatory service.

A total of 51.4% responded that BTS should fulfill their military duties, while 40.1% responded that BTS should get an exception in their military duties. In particular, the younger the age, the more they agreed on “no exception just for BTS” – 73.2% in 20s, 60.4% in 30s, and 49.4% in 40s.

Though it’s true that BTS takes up most of HYBE’s profits, experts are taking a positive approach as other artists are showing an upward trend. It’s analyzed that SEVENTEEN, TXT, ENHYPEN, and other groups can fill the void of BTS’ hiatus. One expert shared, “SEVENTEEN, TXT, and ENHYPEN will all hold a world tour in the second half of this year. The estimated profits of these tours including the online concerts are around 116.2 billion KRW (about $83.8 million).”
