MONSTA X’s I.M will be leaving Starship Entertainment. However, he’ll continue promoting as a member of the group.
On the 8th, Starship Entertainment announced I.M’s departure from the agency. “Recently, we renewed our contracts with the five members of MONSTA X, Shownu, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, and Joohoney. But the love all six members have for the group and MONBEBE is the same, so I.M has agreed to continue promoting as MONSTA X.”
The agency also talked about the termination of I.M’s exclusive contract. “The label and I.M have discussed this for a long time, but unfortunately, we have decided to terminate our exclusive contract. We’d like to express our deep gratitude to I.M for all the hard work he’s shown and the dedication that he’s shown. We’ll cheer for I.M’s new activities and the new path he’ll walk on.”
Starship concluded, “MONSTA X finished their one-month hiatus. The label and the members are marking various preparations to green you through group and solo promotions. We ask for your unwavering, warm support, encouragement, and support for the six members of MONSTA X henceforward.”
