Jung Woo Sung‘s directorial debut film, A Man of Reason, will be screened at the 47th Toronto International Film Festival under the Special Presentation segment.
A Man of Reason is an action movie that follows a man named Soo Hyuk (played by Jung Woo Sung) who wants to start his life over after spending ten years in prison. Expectations are high on how the story will unfold as his wish to live an ordinary life becomes the most dangerous dream he could ever have. The fresh plot, powerful character and incredible action scenes are amping up the excitement among fans.
Giovanna Fulvi, an International programmer of TIFF, explained, “The World Premiere of A Man of Reason has everything you crave in a modern thriller: hi-octane action sequences, memorable characters, and Jung himself in the leading role.”
Other Korean titles will also be screened at the event: Park Chan Wook’s Decision to Leave, Hirokazu Kore-Eda’s Broker, Lee Jung Jae’s first directorial film Hunt, and Hong Sang Soo‘s Walk Up.
