Rising star Noh Sang Hyun is returning to the small screen as a mysterious man in Curtain Call: A Tree Dies Standing Up (literal title).

Curtain Call: A Tree Dies Standing Up tells the story of a man who acts as the grandson of an elderly woman from the North to fulfill her final wish, a woman that falls in love with the man, and all those involved in this play. Earlier, Kang Ha Neul and Ha Ji Won have officially joined the production.

Noh Sang Hyun plays Lee Moon Sung. Everything about this mysterious man is covered in a veil. How he gets to know the characters and his “real story” will be one of the key points of the show.

Noh Sang Hyun took on the role of Isacc, a faithful pastor who leads Sunja out of misery to a new life, in the original Apple TV series Pachinko. He gained rave reviews for his three-dimensional portrayal of the character with his solid performance.

Meanwhile, Curtain Call: A Tree Dies Standing Up comes from River Where the Moon Rises director Yoon Sang Ho and Midnight Runners writer Jo Seong Geol.
