Netflix unveiled the new still photos for its new original series, The Sound of Magic.
On Monday, Netflix released the teaser trailer for its upcoming series The Sound of Magic. This new fantasy music drama tells the story of what happens when a girl, who lost her dream, and a boy, who is forced to have a dream he doesn’t want, meet a mysterious magician.
The released photos show Yoon Ai (Choi Sung Eun) and Na Il Deung (Hwang In Youp), who sit next to each other in the school, and magician Ri Eul (Ji Chang Wook), who provides them with magical moments. The sight of them, confused at first but slowly growing up inside Ri Eul’s world, will deliver an echo of “what it really means to become an adult.”
In order to create a world of Ri Eul that moves back and forth between reality and fantasy, director Kim Sung Yoon looked for “the vibe that made people focus on the space and forget the reality.”
Of course, the actors’ passionate performances going back and forth between reality and fantasy also raise expectations. The leading actors lavished praises on each other. Choi Sung Eun shared, “Ji Chang Wook is an actor with Ri Eul’s energy.” Hwang In Youp said, “Choi Sung Eun was Yoon Ai herself who brought out the most in us.” Lastly, Ji Chang Wook commented, “Hwang In Yeop made Na Il Deung attractive by creating a synergy with the character.”
Meanwhile, The Sound of Magic will be released on Netflix on May 6th.
