The Witch: Part 2 (working title) has reportedly postponed its release to the latter half of this year.

According to Ten Asia, The Witch: Part 2 pushed back its release plan. It was originally scheduled to be released in the first half of 2022 but delayed in the aftermath of the continuing pandemic. An official from the crew shared, “The release got pushed back to the second half of this year. But even that is uncertain at this point.”

Since the news came out, NEW, in charge of investment and distribution for the movie, told media outlets, “Nothing is set in stone regarding the release. We’re reviewing various possibilities and monitoring the situation.”

The Witch: Part 2 is a sequel to The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion, released in 2018. At the time, the film attracted 3 million moviegoers thanks to its solid plot, thrilling action sequences, and actors’ flawless performances. If Part 1 found Kim Da Mi out of the 1500 hopefuls, the sequel has cast Cynthia out of the 1408 hopefuls, making headlines.

Additionally, Lee Jong Suk had chosen The Witch: Part 2 as his first project since the discharge from the army, further raising the expectations. Kim Da Mi will also be making a special appearance in the movie.
