Yoo Yeon Seok is in talks to lead the new novel-based drama Understanding of Love (literal title).

According to Sports Chosun, Yoo Yeon Seok was cast in the new JTBC series Understanding of Love. To which the actor’s agency King Kong by Starship responded, “Yoo Yeon Seok is positively reviewing the offer she got from Understanding of Love.”

Understanding of Love is based on the novel of the same name by Lee Hyuk Jin. Set in the Yeongpo branch of Nara Bank, which celebrates its 99th founding anniversary, it illustrates the “romance noir” of the office romance of Ha Sang Soo, Ahn Soo Young, Park Mi Kyung, and Jung Jong Hyun.

If Yoo Yeon Seok joins the show, he’ll play Ha Sang Soo. He’s the manager of the general counseling team at Yeongpo branch of Nara Bank. He’s smart and solid like he had never been through the ups and downs of life. Moreover, his jokes are always humorous and warm, and his body makes him look like an athlete instead of a bank manager. He’s the star of Nara Bank that makes all the male employees jealous and female employees’ hearts flutter.

Meanwhile, Understanding of Love is the new project by Do You Like Brahms? director Cho Young Min.
